2015-2016 – Competition – Budapest BOX

Budapest BOX

Responsible architect: Bence Várnai

This was the third competition I entered. I was enthusiastic, full of energy and zeal for the task. The project was simple, yet witty with its complexity and conciseness. It was to design new booths and stands for the Christmas Fair on Vörösmarty Square, Budapest. The reason the commission was indeed complex is that the new booths were supposed to be mobile, economic, typical Hungarian, and beautiful - all at once! Even though my project didn’t win (there were 150 candidates, some of them professional architects), according to my teacher Menyus, my work reflected a clear concept, so I can rightly be proud of it.
